How to Create Partitions with Partition Genius?


Launch Spotmau Partition Genius under Windows or boot CD, you can see the interface as below:

1. Select a disk.

2. Select a block of unallocated space on the disk map or in the partition list.

3. Click Partition ->Create.

4. Click Primary Partition, Extended partition or Logical Partition.

5. Select the file system type you want from the Partition Type drop-down list.

Description

FAT

The most common file system type. It is used by DOS, and Windows 3.x/95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP.

FAT32

Used by Windows 95 OEM Service Release 2, Windows 98, and Windows 2000/XP.

NTFS

Used by Windows NT/2000/XP.

6. Specify the size of the new partition in the text box of Size.

Partition Genius automatically calculates a recommended size (based on the most efficient use of disk space), which you can accept or change.

7. Click OK.
